Karma visits the blurb-o-mat

Sometimes, karma is a very nice bitch. A few years ago, the YA horror author Jonathan Maberry impressed the heck out of me while I was judging for the Cybils Awards. We were unanimous in picking his “Rot & Ruin” for the prize.

A few years later, Maberry spotted me on Twitter and asked if I needed him to blurb my book. By then, he was huge — one of the top-selling authors in our niche, with people lining up for 2 hours for his autograph at BookExpo last year.

A thumb’s up from someone like Maberry is like a big smooch from the popular boy right where all the other girls can totally see and get all jealous. Here’s what’s going on my cover:

“TEMPLE OF DOUBT launches a powerful new voice in teen fantasy fiction. Anne Boles Levy brings serious game with her first novel. Expect great things!” –Jonathan Maberry, New York Times bestselling author of ROT & RUIN and THE NIGHTSIDERS

Still swooning.
